All plans have a 12-month minimum term and renew automatically each year unless cancelled at least 30 days before the renewal date. Cancelling inside the first 12 months on monthly billing carries a fee equal to the visits already used at regular price, minus what was paid. Annual billing is charged once, up front. From June through September a Boerne system can run 12 to 16 hours a day. That is two to three times the hours of a system up north, and every hour wears the compressor and the fan motor. A unit sized or serviced for a milder climate gives out early here.

The outdoor coil sheds the heat your house collected. When cedar pollen in winter and dust the rest of the year pack its fins, the compressor runs hotter and longer to move the same heat, and its life gets shorter.
